- It's true. There are several vi emulation packages around. vip.el and
- vi-mode.el come with the GNU emacs 18.58 distribution. vip is the one I
- used. You should be able to start it just by M-x vip. It has a few
- irritating differences from standard vi, but most of them can be customized
- away in a .vip file. There should be a vip node in your on-line
- documentation that tells how to use and customize vip.
