- I don't know what Waterloo Script is, but it couldn't be a *worse* word
- processor than WordPerfect! I use vi/troff for producing manuals. When WP V5
- came out I decided to use it because of all the nice font support etc. I succeeded,
- in that I produced one manual (about 100 pages) with it. But the EFFORT
- involved convinced me to go back to vi/troff. I am still looking for a better
- system than troff - there must be one, because troff has lots of bad aspects.
- I am currently looking at TeX, although the learning curve is steep.

-
- Decentralization does indeed lead to those things. This means that changed
- management techniques are needed. That doesn't mean decentralization is bad,
- nor does it mean it is all good.

-
- The solution is to provide that editor on the PC, not force the person to
- change to an editor that will be, for him, less productive.

-
- Why not? Vi WORKS! It is not the easiest editor to learn, but I have yet to
- find another editor that offered the prospect of the same productivity FOR ME.
- It is also available on a variey of platforms. MKS vi on DOS is close enough to
- Unix Vi that I have no trouble switching from one to another.
-
- However, Vi does badly need some extra features, like multiple edit files.
