  17. Before I called Telebit to bitch about the uucp spoofing problem, I
  18. must have spent an hour with the domain operator Uutrying back and
  19. forth and writing down numbers - trying every imaginable case and
  20. setup. I was ready for anything.  However, the minute I mentioned what
  21. I was calling about, they just took my address, and FedEx brought the
  22. EPROM's a few weeks later.  I had gotten all worked up for nothing!

  24. Honestly, though, it should be kept in mind that with the uucp bug, the
  25. WB was really a defective product by default.  Telebit is aware of
  26. this.  While it would be better if the product had been fully
  27. functional at the start,  some companies sell patently defective stuff
  28. and then never support it at all.  Telebit is MUCH better than that at
  29. least!
