-
- The only problem I've had with the ATI and Telebit modems is when connecting
- to a T2500 with an EPROM prior to GA7.03. I've used the ATI with a post
- 7.03 T2500, a T1600, a T3000 and a WorldBlazer with _no_ problems at all.
-
- The only way to get around the problem with a pre-7.03 T2500 was to disable
- error correction on the ATI. This, of course, kills compression and just
- about every thing else useful with a V.32/V.42/V.42bis modem.
-
- My point here is that you should _not_ blindly disable compression. This
- just wastes your investment in modem technology. If you find problems
- communicating with a T2500, bitch loudly until whoever owns it calls
- Telebit tech support and gets an upgraded EPROM.
