  34. The only problem I've had with the ATI and Telebit modems is when connecting
  35. to a T2500 with an EPROM prior to GA7.03. I've used the ATI with a post
  36. 7.03 T2500, a T1600, a T3000 and a WorldBlazer with _no_ problems at all.

  38. The only way to get around the problem with a pre-7.03 T2500 was to disable
  39. error correction on the ATI. This, of course, kills compression and just
  40. about every thing else useful with a V.32/V.42/V.42bis modem.

  42. My point here is that you should _not_ blindly disable compression. This 
  43. just wastes your investment in modem technology. If you find problems  
  44. communicating with a T2500, bitch loudly until whoever owns it calls
  45. Telebit tech support and gets an upgraded EPROM.
