- Yes. And some brave souls clip the legs off the 16450, unsolder (carefully!)

- The only real difference is that the 16550A has a 16-byte buffer on
- both the send and receive. The 16450 only keeps the *last* byte. So if you
- don't fetch it before the next one comes in, it's gone...
