  22. Yes. And some brave souls clip the legs off the 16450, unsolder (carefully!)
  23. the stubs that remain and install a socket.

  27. The only real difference is that the 16550A has a 16-byte buffer on
  28. both the send and receive. The 16450 only keeps the *last* byte. So if you
  29. don't fetch it before the next one comes in, it's gone...
