  22. Make sure your cable supports hardware flow control (CTS/RTS).  I had
  23. a bad cable (if I recall correctly, the CTS signal was open), and when
  24. I tried to send a file, I observed behavior similar to what you
  25. described.

  27. This did not affect downloads (my 386 clone is fast enough to keep
  28. up).
