- After reading various posts on the Cube Lazer, and having been
- struck today by Telebit's new direct-marketing blitz (no, I
- didn't get junk mail from them; I just mean that they are
- selling competitively from 1-800-TELEBIT rather than through
- resellers), I am wondering if -- for all its warts -- there is
- any modem comparable to it that doesn't cost at least $100 more.
-
- And if not, why it makes more sense either (a) to wait yet another
- 6-12 months to upgrade my 2400 or (b) to play it safe and buy a
- $175 9600 modem.
