  11. After reading various posts on the Cube Lazer, and having been
  12. struck today by Telebit's new direct-marketing blitz (no, I
  13. didn't get junk mail from them; I just mean that they are
  14. selling competitively from 1-800-TELEBIT rather than through
  15. resellers), I am wondering if -- for all its warts -- there is
  16. any modem comparable to it that doesn't cost at least $100 more.

  18. And if not, why it makes more sense either (a) to wait yet another
  19. 6-12 months to upgrade my 2400 or (b) to play it safe and buy a
  20. $175 9600 modem.
