- Yes, they are now offering an "upgrade" for us BIG modem people, but instead
- of sending in a "little bit" they want "ALOT!!!"
-
- For my HST DS w/v32bis, they want $299, I do get FAX, 16.8HST and "possible"
- upgradability to v.fast (for how much?)
-
- Of course since I got mine on sysop deal, I can get a new one for $449,
- but I "can't" sell my old one because of the plate affixed to it saying
- "NOT FOR RESALE"
-
- If I didn't, as long as I could get > $150 for a HST DS v32bis modem,
- would have come out ahead... Basically,
- I'm looking elsewhere and just will have two modems
-
- $300 is way too much for an upgrade for me, maybe for the people who spent
- $700 or more on their modems...
-
- <sigh> I talked to Telebit, but they are not too clear on how the fax option
- will be worked in, I'm going to wait and see what happens when theirs comes
- out.
