  22. Yes, they are now offering an "upgrade" for us BIG modem people, but instead
  23. of sending in a "little bit" they want "ALOT!!!"

  25. For my HST DS w/v32bis, they want $299, I do get FAX, 16.8HST and "possible"
  26. upgradability to v.fast (for how much?)

  28. Of course since I got mine on sysop deal, I can get a new one for $449,
  29. but I "can't" sell my old one because of the plate affixed to it saying
  30. "NOT FOR RESALE"

  32. If I didn't, as long as I could get > $150 for a HST DS v32bis modem,
  33. would have come out ahead... Basically,
  34. I'm looking elsewhere and just will have two modems

  36. $300 is way too much for an upgrade for me, maybe for the people who spent
  37. $700 or more on their modems...

  39. <sigh> I talked to Telebit, but they are not too clear on how the fax option
  40. will be worked in, I'm going to wait and see what happens when theirs comes
  41. out.
