  13. Can someone help me with the following oddity. I have in my office a 
  14. Practical Peripheral 14400FXSA connected to a DecStation 5000, running
  15. ultrix. On my Atari ST at home I have a Zoom 2400 V.42bis modem.

  17. I cannot get the Zoom V.42bis to talk with the PP14400 using LAPM(V.42), 
  18. my connection always goes to ALT (MNP 5) for the protocol. Now the Zoom 
  19. V.42bis has connected to other modems using LAPM and it worked great. 
  20. I tried reconfiguring the PP14400 in various ways but it will not not 
  21. negotiate a LAPM connection!

  23. I called PP support line and all they had to offer was "Wow, It should work!"
  24. And I waited on the phone for 10 minutes long disrtance to hear that!

  26. Any help would be most appreciated.
