- A compressed tar file of Umoria 5.5 is now available for anonymous FTP
- from kukulcan.berkeley.edu, in the directory /pub/wilson/incoming.
- Patches from 5.4 to 5.5 are also available. Get the file README.55 for
- directions.
-
- The source should soon appear in the official archives, and will also be
- posted to comp.sources.games.
-
- Players of previous versions of 5.x will only notice one significant
- change. The maximum damage enchantment of a weapon is now equal to the
- weapon's maximum damage, rather than a fixed +10. (As before, there is
- a very slight chance that you can enchant a weapon beyond this level.)
- Thus daggers will no longer be the best weapons for mid-level
- characters.
-
- Please send any bug reports to me.
