- We have the CD-ROM BookManager Starter Kit, which includes a PC-DOS read
- program for the manuals. The starter disks contain over 1300 manuals with
- just about everything (except logic manuals) on MVS, VM, AIX, AS/400, etc.
- on four CD-ROM's. I run this DOS program under Windows 3.1, so my
- documentation is just a "click" away. We have 12 CD-ROM drives mounted on
- a Novell Netware server, and all of our programmers have a workstation on
- the token ring. We just put this up about a month ago, so I really don't
- know about the frequency of updates. The Starter Kit was added to my SLSS.
- Unfortunately, the softcopy documentation that is coming with some new
- product shipments is not viewable with the version of the DOS read program
- in the starter kit. I think that IBM is planning to standardize all
- versions and has a SOD on this, but I'm not sure. This means that while I
- have, for example, CICS 2.1.2 and 3.2.1 documentation on-line, my CICS 3.3
- documentation is not online.

- However, it's great. No more TNL's!
