- And I agree. But why don't we just drop it?

-
- This little flame on the US has gone on long enough.
-
- If we could just get down... and THINK people, THINK. I admit, there
- are people who are jerks from the US. And there are people who are jerks
- from Europe. And there are people who are jerks from Australia (I know
- of two. Can you name them in the next 30 seconds? I'm sure you can. Heres
- a clue. Not Morkeleb (just so he doesn't think I mean him)).
-
- And people, I am not afraid to admit to you that I can be a very big jerk
- at times. I'm not afraid to tell you that because it is the truth.
-
- Some of you people (you know who you are) keep coming on like you are so
- superiour than the people around you. But in fact, like it or not, we
- all are of the same intelligence in actuallity, and all posess the wonderous
- instrument "The Human Mind." Anyone can learn how to program IRC. Anyone
- can learn how to play the guitar. Anyone can learn math. Anyone can be
- your friend. To say it again, but in a bit more depth, I want you all
- to remember this. WE ALL HAVE THE SAME POTENTIAL. AND THAT POTENTIAL IS
- INFINITE.
-
- No, go on IRC. Be nice. Learn from each other. And have a damn nice day.
-
- >It's quite simple.
-
- Ya know, it really is when you think about it.
-
- All you people from the planet we call Earth, please read this now. Your
- flames on America are flames apon yourselves, since America is made up of
- a complement of each country. The only true native Americans are indians,
- and I do not think that your flames include them. France... you hate us,
- but there are many French people. England, you probably don't like us
- because of that revolutionary war. But we have many English people here.
- Africa, your complement seems to be liked greatly, spawned from a surge
- of American agendas. Finland, my communications class has a girl who went
- there. She spoke highly of it. Perhaps I should visit WiZ?
-
- It is obvious, really. America is a mix of all of you. As the highly
- respected A. Conan Doyle put it in his Sherlock Holmes book _The Hound of the
- Baskervilles_:
-
- "The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes."
-
- Our closeness is one of those things.
-
- *** Action: Allen sends the net glasses of wine, and in one wave of brotherhood,
- he promply announces, "Cheers to all those abroad, for their like
- are next door."
-
- Also, to those who feel their horizons narrowing from over IRCing, I have
- discovered a new IRC activity. Or maybe perhaps invented it. If you will
- notice, there are many channels like:
-
- #espanol
- #Vienna
- #Frances
-
- And so forth. These channels can be of great use to those who wish to
- practice their respective languages. #espanol has prompted me to relearn
- spanish, in respect to those on that channel. Also, I hope to learn other
- languages, such as French and German, and USE these languages on the net.
- It seems like a very productive thing to do, and really, learning another
- language can provide a better lingual object base, and enhance one's
- vocabulary considerably.
-
- Of course... so can reading books. Or writing. A lot of you now have a
- profound amount of experience with communications via the written word through
- IRC. Perhaps, with all this practice, many of you can become great and
- successfull (usually go hand in hand these days) writers. Or Narrators?
- IRC is far from antiproductive, although it should be the seasoning for real
- life, and not the reciprocal.
-
- And to those who sent those announcements of engagement, congratulations.
- I wish you the best.
-
- And to those who found this post really long and boring, sorry.
-
- And to those Europeans who now have me adding a "u" to my "o" in many words
- like "colour", "behaviour" and such... gee, thanks a lot. My professors are
- gonna really tolerate that *grin*.
-
- America is enriched by many cultures. And I am excited to be American.
- Not ashamed.
