  31. If we could just get down... and THINK people, THINK.  I admit, there
  32. are people who are jerks from the US.  And there are people who are jerks
  33. from Europe.  And there are people who are jerks from Australia (I know
  34. of two.  Can you name them in the next 30 seconds?  I'm sure you can.  Heres
  35. a clue.  Not Morkeleb (just so he doesn't think I mean him)).

  37. And people, I am not afraid to admit to you that I can be a very big jerk
  38. at times.  I'm not afraid to tell you that because it is the truth.

  40. Some of you people (you know who you are) keep coming on like you are so
  41. superiour than the people around you.  But in fact, like it or not, we
  42. all are of the same intelligence in actuallity, and all posess the wonderous
  43. instrument "The Human Mind."  Anyone can learn how to program IRC.  Anyone
  44. can learn how to play the guitar.  Anyone can learn math.  Anyone can be
  45. your friend.  To say it again, but in a bit more depth, I want you all
  46. to remember this.  WE ALL HAVE THE SAME POTENTIAL.  AND THAT POTENTIAL IS
  47. INFINITE.

  55. All you people from the planet we call Earth, please read this now.  Your
  56. flames on America are flames apon yourselves, since America is made up of
  57. a complement of each country.  The only true native Americans are indians,
  58. and I do not think that your flames include them.  France... you hate us,
  59. but there are many French people.  England, you probably don't like us
  60. because of that revolutionary war.  But we have many English people here.
  61. Africa, your complement seems to be liked greatly, spawned from a surge
  62. of American agendas.  Finland, my communications class has a girl who went
  63. there.  She spoke highly of it.  Perhaps I should visit WiZ?

  65. It is obvious, really.  America is a mix of all of you.  As the highly
  66. respected A. Conan Doyle put it in his Sherlock Holmes book _The Hound of the
  67. Baskervilles_:

  71. Our closeness is one of those things.

  77. Also, to those who feel their horizons narrowing from over IRCing, I have
  78. discovered a new IRC activity.  Or maybe perhaps invented it.  If you will
  79. notice, there are many channels like:

  81. #espanol
  82. #Vienna
  83. #Frances
  84.  
  85. And so forth.  These channels can be of great use to those who wish to
  86. practice their respective languages.  #espanol has prompted me to relearn
  87. spanish, in respect to those on that channel.  Also, I hope to learn other
  88. languages, such as French and German, and USE these languages on the net.
  89. It seems like a very productive thing to do, and really, learning another
  90. language can provide a better lingual object base, and enhance one's
  91. vocabulary considerably.

  93. Of course... so can reading books.  Or writing.  A lot of you now have a
  94. profound amount of experience with communications via the written word through
  95. IRC.  Perhaps, with all this practice, many of you can become great and
  96. successfull (usually go hand in hand these days) writers.  Or Narrators?
  97. IRC is far from antiproductive, although it should be the seasoning for real
  98. life, and not the reciprocal.

  100. And to those who sent those announcements of engagement, congratulations.

  105. And to those Europeans who now have me adding a "u" to my "o" in many words
  106. like "colour", "behaviour" and such... gee, thanks a lot.  My professors are
  107. gonna really tolerate that *grin*.

  109. America is enriched by many cultures.  And I am excited to be American.
