  13. I've been reviewing gopher clients for the Mac at work.
  14. Of the ones I've looked at, GopherApp out of Indiana is the
  15. nicest for our purposes, because it makes the gopher-server's
  16. files and directories look like MacFiles and MacFolders on the
  17. MacDesktop ...
  18.  
  19. Problem is, we run our own gopher hole here
  20. (Gopher.Virginia.EDU, called GWIS) and I want to make a
  21. GopherApp file that opens automatically to our own hole.  
  22. The only way I can figure to do this is with either the 
  23. "New Gopher Link" or "Edit Gopher Link" options under the "Internet"
  24. menu, but both options are grayed out (as is the "Text" menu(?))
  25.  
  26. I wrote email to Software@Bio.Indiana.EDU about a week ago, 
  27. but haven't gotten anything back.

  31. (1) Has anyone encountered this problem and overcome it?

  33. (2) Does anyone have a copy of GopherApp that doesn't behave
  34.     this way (assuming it's shareware/freeware/fairware) ?

  36. (3) Does anyone know of a different Gopher client for
  37.     Macintosh that is both 
  38.         (a) easily customizable, and 
  39.         (b) fairly transparent to the under-literate
  40.             Macintosh user?
  41.
