  15.     According to my understanding of common carrier status, news carriers
  16. like UUnet would be common carriers, provided they carried *all* newsgroups.

  18.     News sites would also qualify as common carriers, but if & only if
  19. they did not exclude any news.  Once you start paring down the information
  20. flow based on content, I don't believe you qualify for common carrier
  21. protections, as you are, in a broad sense, "editing" the newsfeed.
