- This directory contains additional software that either fixes problems with
- the standard R2.0B software or provides additional undocumented capabilities.

- Note that the software in this directory is un-evaluated and therefore
- unsupported. Many of these will be incorporated as standard software in the
- next release of the product.

- Summary of the Supplemental Software :

- 1. Demo files for RTERM (a DOS-based terminal emulator for iRMX).
- These are located in the subdirectory `rmx386\new\rmx386\demo\rterm'.

- 2. The ability to launch iRMX programs from the DOS console or from Windows.
- These files are located in the subdirectory
- `rmx386\new\rmx386\demo\launch'.

- 3. A version of rmxtsr.exe that fixes some problems when running
- Real Mode Windows with iRMX.
- This is located in the subdirectory `rmx386\new\dosrmx'.

- 4. Utilities for switching between Standard and 386 Enhanced Modes
- of Windows, or between Protected-mode DOS and iRMX-for-Windows.
- These are located in the subdirectory `rmx386\new\windows'.

- 5. The assembler ASM386 version V3.0 located in the subdirectory
- 'rmx386\new\lang286'.

- 6. A new ntp4at.job is provided to fix a problem encountered when an iRMX
- DDE application has > 64K of constant data. These are located in the
- subdirectory 'rmx386\new\rmx386\jobs'.

- 7. HCREQ.OBJ is provided for iRMX III users porting their application to
- iRMX For Windows. This is located in the subdirectory
- 'rmx386\new\rmx386\hi'.

- 8. Beginning with Release 2.0A of iRMX For Windows, a new C interface library
- and clib.job is provided for implementing C applications. To provide
- backward compatibility as necessary, the following original C files are
- provided as they existed in Release 2.0. The submit file
- 'rmx386/new/intel/ic386/rename.csd' is provided to restore the C files
- and libraries as they existed in Release 2.0. The following files and
- their subdirectory locations are as follows:

- 9. A dual-stack packet driver for the PCL2(A) product which solves problems
- of intermittent hangs and performance degration. This is located in the
- subdirectory 'rmx386\new\dosrmx'.

- 10. A network job which allows iRMXNet software to use the onboard Ethernet
- controller in the SLP486 machines is provided in the subdirectory
- 'rmx386/new/rmx386/jobs'.

- 11. A new version of rmxtsr.exe which will provide support for a future
- Multibus II MPC redirector job is provided in the subdirectory
- 'rmx386/new/dosrmx/mb2'.

- 12. Some PC compatible computers have experienced problems with the keyboard
- becoming unresponsive after a short period of time. A new version of
- keybd.job which fixes this problem is provided in 'rmx386/new/rmx386/jobs'.

- 13, A set of demo programs for Multibus II platforms are provided in the
- directories 'rmx386/new/rmx386/demo/plm/mb2/intro',
- 'rmx386/new/rmx386/demo/plm/mb2/general', and
- 'rmx386/new/rmx386/demo/plm/mb2/nservr'.

- 14. A new version of the Hostess 550 driver which supports the 16-port
- controller is available. The source code for this driver is provided
- in the subdirectory 'rmx386/new/rmx386/demo/ldd/plm' and the loadable
- driver is provided in 'rmx386/new/rmx386/drivers'. For information on
