<p class="Paragraph">The best tool for changing a toolbar is the context menu. <span class="T1">Visible Buttons</span> shows a list of all icons on the bar, separated as to those currently visible and hidden. A checkmark indicates the visible icons. You can make an additional icon available by clicking the mouse. Several clicks of the mouse can change the toolbar. You can click to check an unchecked icon to make it visible. If you click it again, it will be hidden.</p>

<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Clicking this button takes you to the <span class="T1">Customize buttons</span> dialog, where you can edit the selected function buttons.</help:help-text> This dialog can only be started if you have activated an icon or a button.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">In this dialog you can assign any icons to the previously selected function buttons.</help:help-text> Various icons are available to allow you to do this. Select the icon that you want to use for a representation of your function button and confirm your selection with <span class="T1">OK</span>.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">You also can use self-defined icons. However, they must be copied in BMP format to the "OpenOffice.org/share/config/Icon" directory. Every time the <span class="T1">Edit Button</span> dialog is run, OpenOffice.org automatically searches the directory for new icons. The icons cannot exceed 30x30 pixels and cannot have more than 256 colors.</p>
