  2. SPECIAL NOTE:

  4. If you were using another conversion program prior to running MAKE_SYS, you 
  5. may need to do some editing in the door data files.  Some of the other 
  6. conversion programs do not convert the user name and password fields to upper 
  7. case as they are supposed to.  MAKE_SYS does.  To complicate things more, some 
  8. door programs take these entries at 'face value', meaning they use the EXACT 
  9. data in these fields (upper and lower case are considered 'different').

  11. If you run into a problem using a door after installing MAKE_SYS, like for 
  12. instance it starts treating you and/or your callers as 'new users', you will 
  13. need to edit the user names in the data file to convert them to upper case.  
  14. If the door program has an editor (as many do), you can use this.  If there is 
  15. no editor, or the editor does not allow you to change the user name, you will 
  16. need to use a disk zapper to edit the file direct on the disk.  Norton 
  17. Utilities is an example of this kind of utility.  A shareware program called 
  18. ZIPZAP is another.  One of the door programs that considers upper and lower 
  19. case as 'different' is the all-popular Trade Wars (at least my copy does).

  22. for the better.
