- PCBOARD.DAT Reference Guide
-
- Compiled and edited by
- Scott Swaine
-
- This is Public Domain material!
-
-
- DESCRIPTION:
- -----------
-
- The files contained in this archive 'PCBDATRF.ARC' are a compilation
- of information that I have culminated from many sources. They are an
- attempt to define the file formats of the PCBOARD.DAT file used by
- PCBoard BBSes in their configuration setup. This reference includes
- the format definitions for both version 12.1 and 14.0 of PCBoard.
-
- There are three files in this archive, PCBDAT.REF, PCBDAT.OTL and
- PCBDATRF.DOC (this file). The file PCBDAT.REF is an ASCII dump, or
- more specifically, a 'block save' of the data in the file PCBDAT.OTL.
- It may be viewed online or printed for an offline quick-reference.
- The file PCBDAT.OTL is in SideKick Plus outline format. This is the
- original 'work' file I was using when creating this reference. In
- order to use it, you will need either SideKick Plus or some kind of
- conversion program to convert it to a format that you CAN use.
-
- This archive is normally distributed with the GT Power to PCBoard
- door conversion system 'GTRPCBxx.ARC'. But it may also be
- distributed separately for those who need the reference, but not the
- whole package. However, the reverse is NOT allowed. That is,
- GTRPCBxx.ARC may NOT be distributed without this file in it, as it is
- a part of that package.
-
-
- NOTICE:
- ------
-
- This file, and the information included in it, I hereby make
- available as Public Domain material. No fees whatsoever may be
- assessed for the distribution of this file. No fees may be assessed
- for specific access to this file on any public or private access
- online system or software distribution service. And furthermore, no
- fees may be assessed for any subroutines, subprograms, or other such
- parts of programs that were made using this information and are being
- distributed indivually. However, this does not include a complete
- software package that, as a whole, is being distributed and has a fee
- associated with it, so long as said fee is assessed for the whole
- software package and not specifically for any part of it made from
- this information. All in all, the bottom line is, you can use it,
- you can give it away to as many friends/relatives/enemies as you feel
- like, but you're not allowed to make any money off of this thing.
-
- Other than this little detail, I hope that you find a use for this
- reference, whether it helps you in any future projects you may have
- or if it just helps to clear up what this stuff is all about. Keep
- in mind, though, that this information is subject to change without
- notice by Clark Development Company, maker of PCBoard (tm).
