  5.                SCHOOL AND SCHOOL BOARD LICENSE APPLICATION

  8.          Making The Grade  with postage and handling normally costs $40
  9.     Cdn ($36 US) per user.  To calculate the cost of a school or school
  10.     board license (which  includes  all elementary and secondary school
  11.     teachers), use the following method:

  17.          We'll  assume  (very conservatively)  that  only  one  in five
  18.     teachers will actually end up using the program; therefore the unit
  19.     cost  (for one user) is  distributed  over five potential users. In
  20.     Canadian  dollars,  you  would  take  the  number  of  teachers and
  21.     multiply by $8.00,  and  in US dollars you would multiply by $7.20:

  28.     divided by 5) complete  copies of  the program,  including disk and
  29.     manual.   You will  also receive a set of master disks which can be
  30.     duplicated for  additional users under the license, a set of proofs
  31.     indentical  to those  used to  print the  manual booklets,  and the
  32.     manual  documentation  in   file  format   (WordPerfect 5.1);  this
  33.     enables the license holder to print additional manuals as required.

  64.          The name  of the school  or school  board is 'hard-coded' into
  65.     every licensed  copy of the program and appears on the title screen
  66.     and in  the  header of  most  printed  reports.   A school name may
  67.     occupy a space up to 50 characters long,  while a school board name
  68.     can  be as  long as 60  characters.   Please  print the appropriate
  69.     information below in  upper/lower case,  for  example McKenzie High
  70.     School  rather  than MCKENZIE HIGH SCHOOL  (the K in McKenzie isn't
  71.     always capitalized).  Licensing for just a single department within
  72.     a school is also possible (minimum order $160 Cdn/$144 US excluding
  73.     tax);  under  school  license,  enter  something like McKenzie High
  74.     School History Department.

  99.     TERMS OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT
  100.  
  101.          The license fee  is a  one time payment and the license covers
  102.     all teachers working in the  licensed school/school board now or at
  103.     any  time in  the future.   A teacher  may not  continue to use the
  104.     software  if he  or she  (for example)  transfers to another school
  105.     that is not  licensed to use Making The Grade;  the license is sold
  106.     to the school or school board, not to individual teachers.

  108.          The  licensee  may  make  unlimited  copies  of  software  and
  109.     documentation  as required;  master copies of both are provided for
  110.     this  purpose.   Upgrades  and  updates  to  Making The  Grade  are
  111.     provided  automatically  as they become available, indefinitely and
  112.     at no extra cost.

  114.          While  every  precaution has been taken to ensure the correct-
  115.     ness of the  software and  accompanying manual, Coffee Mug Software
  116.     cannot  assume  any  responsibility or  liability for any damage or
  117.     loss  caused  by the  software.   Coffee Mug Software  reserves the
  118.     right  to make  changes and improvements to the manual and software
  119.     at any time  without notice.   It is the responsibility of the user
  120.     to make the necessary backups of his/her data and program diskette.
