- FRAME SIZE AND POSITION

- To display information concerning
- the size and position of a frame,
- double-click on it. You can change
- the size and position of a frame
- with accuracy by editing this
- information.

- USING THE RULERS

- The rulers are always displayed.
- Use them to help you draw and
- position frames or objects on the
- page.

- SETTING THE COLUMN GUIDES
-
- In addition to the rulers, you can
- also use the column guides to help
- you draw and position frames with
- accuracy. To set the column guides,
- choose Set column guides in the
- Options menu.

- When the form appears, select up to
- 9 columns, and specify the amount of
- space to be left around and between
- them.
- SNAPPING TO THE COLUMN GUIDES
-
- Frames automatically "jump" into
- position (snap) when drawn, moved
- or sized. The left and right edges
- of a frame will snap to the column
- guides, and the top and bottom edges
- will snap to the nearest ruler unit.

- DRAWING FRAMES
-
- Switch to Frame mode by clicking on
- its icon in the toolkit. Draw a
- frame by dragging the mouse to the
- right and down.

- MOVING FRAMES
-
- To move a frame, first click inside
- it to select it, then drag it to the
- place you want.

- SIZING FRAMES
-
- To size a frame, first click inside
- it to select it. Drag a corner
- handle to size the frame in any
- direction, and a centre handle to
- size it vertically or horizontally.

- STACKING FRAMES
-
- Use Bring to front or Send to back
- in the Options menu to stack frames
- in the desired order.
- TEXT RUNAROUND
-
- When you put a frame over another
- one which has text in it, the text
- is pushed aside by the top frame.
- Frames always force text to flow
- around them, with a fixed area of
- "padding" around the frame, into
- which text cannot cross.

- FRAME BORDERS

- Choose Frame border in the Options
- menu to specify a border for the
- selected frame. You can have lines
- on all or none of the frame sides in
- 4 different styles.

- CUTTING FRAMES
-
- To cut a frame out of the document,
- first select the frame then either
- choose Cut in the Edit menu, or
- press [Alt][X] or [Delete].

- Please note that a deleted or cut
- frame cannot be recovered.
-
