  4. FRAME SIZE AND POSITION
  5.  
  6. To display information concerning 
  7. the size and position of a frame, 
  8. double-click on it. You can change 
  9. the size and position of a frame 
  10. with accuracy by editing this 
  11. information.

  14. USING THE RULERS
  15.  
  16. The rulers are always displayed. 
  17. Use them to help you draw and 
  18. position frames or objects on the 
  19. page.

  27. SETTING THE COLUMN GUIDES
  28.  
  29. In addition to the rulers, you can 
  30. also use the column guides to help 
  31. you draw and position frames with 
  32. accuracy. To set the column guides, 
  33. choose Set column guides in the 
  34. Options menu.

  36. When the form appears, select up to 
  37. 9 columns, and specify the amount of 
  38. space to be left around and between 
  39. them.
  40. SNAPPING TO THE COLUMN GUIDES
  41.  
  42. Frames automatically "jump" into 
  43. position (snap) when drawn, moved 
  44. or sized. The left and right edges 
  45. of a frame will snap to the column 
  46. guides, and the top and bottom edges 
  47. will snap to the nearest ruler unit.

  53. DRAWING FRAMES

  55. Switch to Frame mode by clicking on 
  56. its icon in the toolkit. Draw a 
  57. frame by dragging the mouse to the 
  58. right and down.

  60. MOVING FRAMES

  62. To move a frame, first click inside 
  63. it to select it, then drag it to the 
  64. place you want.

  66. SIZING FRAMES

  68. To size a frame, first click inside 
  69. it to select it. Drag a corner 
  70. handle to size the frame in any 
  71. direction, and a centre handle to 
  72. size it vertically or horizontally.

  74. STACKING FRAMES

  76. Use Bring to front or Send to back 
  77. in the Options menu to stack frames 
  78. in the desired order. 
  79. TEXT RUNAROUND

  81. When you put a frame over another 
  82. one which has text in it, the text 
  83. is pushed aside by the top frame.
  84. Frames always force text to flow 
  85. around them, with a fixed area of 
  86. "padding" around the frame, into 
  87. which text cannot cross.

  92. FRAME BORDERS

  94. Choose Frame border in the Options 
  95. menu to specify a border for the 
  96. selected frame. You can have lines 
  97. on all or none of the frame sides in 
  98. 4 different styles.

  105. CUTTING FRAMES

  107. To cut a frame out of the document, 
  108. first select the frame then either 
  109. choose Cut in the Edit menu, or 
  110. press [Alt][X] or [Delete].

  112. Please note that a deleted or cut 
  113. frame cannot be recovered.
