- -----Introduction-----
-
- This file archive contains scenery files in Volume 1 of my South West
- scenery collection. Located in this archive should be the following files:
-
- LASVEGAS.DY1 LASVEGAS.SC1 LASVEGAS.MOD LOSANGEL.DY1
- LOSANGEL.MOD LOSANGEL.SC1 OAKSAN.DY1 OAKSAN.SC1
- RENO.DY1 RENO.MOD RENO.SC1 SACRAMEN.DY1
- SACRAMEN.SC1 SANFRANC.MOD WHATS.NEW README.1ST
- README.2ND
-
-
- If any of these files are missing or damaged, you may write me at my
- permanent address, and for the cost of registration ($5) plus $2 shipping and
- handling and a floppy disk, I will send you the archive. The address to write
- to is:
-
- John Mechalas
- 2830 Townway Rd.
- Danville, IL 61832
-
- You can also contact me via E-Mail at the following internet address:

- -----Scenery Coverage-----
-
- This archive contains both static and dynamic detailing for the airports/
- cities listed below. All files were designed to be overlaid on the subLOGIC
- California Scenery Collection (this scenery archive will not work with earlier
- scenery disks covering the California area, due to the more accurate placement
- of objects in the new California scenery collection. If you attempt to use
- Scenery Disk 3, STAR Scenery, or the FS4 default scenery as the basis for the
- files in this archive, you will get some bizarre results).

-
- -----Memory Requirements-----
-
- You must allocate at least 12000 bytes for dynamic scenery and 15000 bytes
- for static scenery in order to load the largest scenery files.
-
-
- -----Instrument Approaches-----
-
- The following instrument approaches are supported by my scenery files. If
- you send in the $5 registration fee, I will send you (free of charge) copies of
- official instrument approach plates, as published by the NOAA. These terminal
- procedure charts will allow you to utilize the ILS approaches to their fullest
- potentials; and if you plan to do any serious armchair piloting, I strongly
- recommend them.

- -----General Scenery Information-----
-
- This is the first of my scenery collections to take advantage of the
- Scenery Enhancement Editor from Mallard software. Selected cities are
- lit up at night with dotted lighting, and airport taxiways are finally
- able to be turned off during the daytime. *grin* Also, they appear
- as rows of dotted lights instead of solid lines.
- Mountains and rivers were added to the scenery areas around Los Angeles
- and Reno to aid in the visual approaches as published by the NOAA, along
- with any other reference points deemed important.
- Enjoy!
