{fb1000000It’s the very lifeblood of science-fiction movies — Invasion of Earth by intelligent, powerful, extra- terrestrial beings. But the very fact that this is the stuff of badly-made B-movies blinds most people to the fact that it is actually possible, and a good deal more likely than most may think.
A set of text-files distributed by Skyfall PD, allegedly downloaded from a bulletin board in the USA, would seem to indicate that we have, in fact, already been invaded, or, more to the point, sold in exchange for technology and military hardware.
The validity of claims such as these, coming as they do from not only the United States but in particular from a BBS calling itself ParaNet, is doubtful. One wonders from where the name “ParaNet” derives. It’s fairly certain that it comes from either “Paranormal” or “Paranoid”. In either case, I’ll leave it to you to decide whether or not you would trust anything coming from a bulletin board of this name (it probably also carries a lot about rune-stones and crystals too).
Despite this, however, most (and I stress that it’s only most) of the physics coined is completely correct, and there is a good deal of correlation between data on aliens, craft, governmental cover-ups, etc, from the various different (allegedly) sources.

At the heart of the claims is that the U.S. government has traded land, animals and, most ominously, human lives in exchange for technology (mostly related to space-travel and weaponry). A prospect which not only questions how real this threat may be, but brings into question how far government may be trusted — ask yourself this: If we *were* invaded by aliens, and they offered the government a big juicy carrot, such as space travel or weaponry, would they cry outrage, or shut up and not tell us?
Knowing, for example, the current British Government as it is, one can only reasonably conclude that they would, indeed, take the carrot and shut up about it. Once this is established, who can tell what the actual truth may be? Could the cover-ups just be cover-ups? Or even these just cover-ups for yet more elaborate cover-ups, hiding a truth so hideous that it could never be known?
Much of what is said of relativity seems to be correct (but don’t believe me — I’m just a secondary student (but with any luck doing Astronomy at Glasgow Uni next year)), although what is said in one of the files describing how the alien’s power-system works is distinctly suspicious, for reasons I don’t have space here to explain.
Apart from this, the physics seems fair enough, although the economics involved seem to be the sort of economics which would be invented by a physicist (the government importing and selling illegal drugs to finance the cover-ups? I don’t think so somehow!!!). As to the biology (some very detailed (gross!) descriptions of alien cadavers recovered from crashed UFOs), I’m in no position to say.
The aliens described are mostly of the sort that would typically be found at your late 1950s american drive-in (perhaps ParaNet could just be a bunch of pre-hippies surfing around, trying to recreate those heady halcyon days?), with grey skin, large heads and small bodies (reminiscent of the soon- to- be- ex- Prime- Minister, perhaps?), and originating from the Orion/ Barnard’s Star neighbourhood. Also described are “Moth-men” from the star system of Draco (although according to a Spiderman episode recently aired on Radcliffe’s Show, Draconians are, in fact, dragons), and are allegedly the source of many myths such as trolls and vampires, but considering that we already have a more-than-plausible explanation for the vampire myth, this is dubious.
Also mentioned are those from the Pleiades, who are supposedly distant relatives of Homo Sapiens, and are very humanoid in appearance, except that they are quite tall, and all have blue eyes and blonde hair, and apparently inter-breed well with human beings. (if anyone knows of a ‘raising- one- eye- brow- as- if- to- suggest- subtle- innuendo’ smiley, please write in and let me know…).
Whatever the facts, the one thing that seems clear is that it’s
