  19. Actually the *costs* are not the same, only the *prices* are.

  21. If 50 people make journey A-B by bus they each pay UKLx. If they now repeat
  22. that journey by private transport they also incur the cost (to all of us)
  23. of the increased congestion (journey time) and pollution (journey quality).

  25. Someone has to pay for these, it should be the motorist. Our government,
  26. however, prefer to share out these costs so that the bus passenger also pays.

  28. This is the strange kind of socialism that sells to the Great British Public
  29. - sic. A similar thinking brought us the "fair" Poll Tax!!!!!
