- The Motorola Silverlink handset is smaller and lighter with a
- microphone flap and so fits into a much smaller shirt-pocket
- than the GPT/Rabbit handset. The Rabbit brochure mentions more
- features for the Motorola such as 30 memories versus 10,
- extendable antenna, noise cancelling microphone and more
- registration slots.
-
- Apparently one version of the Motorola basestation has a speaker
- and microphone allowing calls to be answered without using a handset
- and also a paging facility to alert and hold two way conversation
- with any handset registered to it. The Paging facility on the Rabbit
- basestation sends a tone signal to registered handsets. The Rabbit
- basestation can register 9 handsets, the Motorola 8.
-
- According to Hutchison, Motorola handset, charger and basestation
- is going to set you back more than #400 though!

- I wonder how long before there'll be CT2 handsets with
- built-in pagers??
