  21. Yes, but that doesn't mean it was men's FAULT.  You yourself said violence
  22. begets violence.  Children of abusive parents go on to abuse, or so they
  23. say.  So what if there is a NON abusive father in a relationship, but the
  24. MOTHER abuses her (male) child.  Next generation, the male abuses his wife
  25. and it starts there, and then we look and say "Look, he's at the top of the
  26. chain, therefore, he started it all".  But he isn't.  His parents are further
  27. up the chain than he is.

  29. I'm not saying it was all started by women, nor am I saying it was all started
  30. by men.  What I *AM* saying is that it's not as cut and dried.  Yes, men
  31. were in a position of power in times past.  Yes they were at the head of the
  32. family.  But no, most of them did NOT start the abuse.  They just continued
  33. what they'd learned from their parents.
