- All of this reminds me of a situation I was familiar with. I had an
- acquaintence that liked to wear an ankle bracelet a lot. She had it
- on nearly all the time around the house, and wore it at many social
- occasions. Over the years she lost a couple of them because the
- catch would come loose and the chain would fall off. The last time
- one was lost, she and her SO decided to try a different approach. They
- bought a relatively sturdy gold necklace, cut down to size and had
- it seamlessly gold soldered around her ankle. (Yes it can be done
- with the right equipment and insulation.) The remaining piece was
- made into a matching wrist bracelet. The result? No more lost bracelets
- but must be worn, of necessity, under panty hose. Best I can tell, she has
- never been is a situation were she felt the need to remove it.
