- That's exactly why there is so much debate as to an age-of-consent.
- Different people have different levels of maturity. Legally, there is
- a need for gov't to say a minor is an adult at a certain age; i.e when
- to vote,when to pay taxes,join the military,etc., but at what age
- does a minor have the maturity to decide what to do with his/her own
- body and whom to do it with? It depends on the individual.

- Any age-of-consent law WOULD be arbitrary. Actually, I don't see any
- need for the courts to enter into it at all unless the CHILD involved
- complains or was hurt(emotionally or physically).
