- I noticed on Tuesday night that one of the news organizations (CNN?
- Nightline? I'm not sure) reported that the calls had been 800 to 21
- at Colin Powell's office that day, followed immediately by a graphic
- showing the results of their (scientific) poll -- which were 47% in
- favor and 47% opposed to lifing the ban.

- Same thing for the poll results in today's New York Times: the
- scientific samplings give results that are totally at odds with the
- call tallies. I hope the congresscritters understand the difference
- between the two kinds of "polls"!
