- IMHO you missed the whole point of the program. Yes, there were some references
- to 'CHURCH' as in MCC, but the general drift of the information was that we
- as gays/lesbians are pretty mainstream America. I didn't see it as trying to
- gain us some sort of respect because we have certain beliefs or that we try to
- gain acceptance by belonging to some sort of para-church organization. I saw
- it as representing a very real part of the gay lifestyle for many of us. I
- happen to be associated with Cathedral of Hope MCC in Dallas. My reasons for
- going there are not to gain some sort of acceptance in anyone's sight.

- I agree, it was somewhat sappy at points, but they selected real people, with
- real challenges which some of them overcame, some did not. The most dis-
- appointing thing I found was that the guys in Kentucky lost their business.
- We were ready to get their number and start planning some conventions there
- just to make them successful and slap that town around a little. I taped the
- whole show, and found it to be very positive, and well presented.
