  27. IMHO you missed the whole point of the program. Yes, there were some references
  28. to 'CHURCH' as in MCC, but the general drift of the information was that we
  29. as gays/lesbians are pretty mainstream America. I didn't see it as trying to
  30. gain us some sort of respect because we have certain beliefs or that we try to
  31. gain acceptance by belonging to some sort of para-church organization. I saw 
  32. it as representing a very real part of the gay lifestyle for many of us. I
  33. happen to be associated with Cathedral of Hope MCC in Dallas. My reasons for
  34. going there are not to gain some sort of acceptance in anyone's sight.

  36. I agree, it was somewhat sappy at points, but they selected real people, with
  37. real challenges which some of them overcame, some did not. The most dis-
  38. appointing thing I found was that the guys in Kentucky lost their business.
  39. We were ready to get their number and start planning some conventions there
  40. just to make them successful and slap that town around a little. I taped the
  41. whole show, and found it to be very positive, and well presented.
