  12. Thurgood Marshall died yesterday at the age of 84.  His death is
  13. a strong reminder that he left the world in 1993 a far better place
  14. than when he was born in 1908, and that he is a chief reason for
  15. the improvement.

  17. Does anyone have stories reflecting on Justice Marshall's legal
  18. writings concerning the rights of homosexuals?  All I know is that
  19. he voted to overturn the Georgia sodomy laws in Hardwick v. Bowers
  20. (1986).
