- One French Canadian custom has to do with any older, unmarried
- sisters of the bride. They are supposed to dance in their stockings
- which are then auctioned off (ugh! What a prize!). I'm told that
- they used to dance in the pig trough as well (a dead tradition, much
- to the relief of a certain unmarried French-Canadian girl I know).
