- A long, complicated story deleted--I hope you read the original
- posting.
-
- My advice is short and cold. She is obviously so hung up on,
- and so involved in this fraternity, she is not about to listen
- to ANYTHING you have to say. Tell her that you love her, and
- you'll be there if she needs you, but as long as she's with
- this fraternity, there is no hope for a true relationship
- between the two of you. Say goodbye and walk away. And then
- go out for a good, hard, five mile run. (Hey, it works for
- Spenser.)
-
- Do you know THE most important rule in lifesaving? It is
- "Don't let there be TWO drownings!" Don't get sucked under
- trying to save her. Help her when she's ready to accept hyour
- help, but until then, you have to avoid drowning with her. I
- know it will hurt, but in the long run it will be best for you.
- You can't help her if she doesn't want help.
