  38. A *long* time ago I had the same ambition.  It has never been realized
  39. since I never had the time to devote to it.  However, I did acquire
  40. what I think is a good introduction to QM, but is not a tome-like
  41. text.  The title is _A Quantum Mechanics Primer_.  I don't recall
  42. the author and the book is at home.  I'ts a paperback.  I believe
  43. it was recommended to me by Arthur Fine or Paul Teller who were/are
  44. pretty heavily into QM.
