  26. MathCAD was originally a NUMERIC computation package rather than a
  27. SYMBOLIC computation package.  Although MathCAD for MS-Windows now
  28. includes parts of Maple, the orientation is still very heavily on
  29. NUMERICS rather than SYMBOLICS.  That is probably why you don't see it
  30. mentioned often in sci.math.symbolic.  Try sci.math.num-analysis --
  31. you might have better luck there.
