- I am looking for a 2D algorithm which would allow me to:

- reduce a set of arbitrary geometric objects

- position the reduced objects objects such that they "lie within"
- the original object. ie, the reduced object lises inside the borders
- of the original object, with its edges equidistant from the edges of the
- original object.
