Many on the net, myself included, have 'calibrated' their systems using
this disk. I say calibrated with a grain of salt in my case. I have not
tried anything fancy with my midline 27" JVC monitor. I have not taken the
back panel off to mess with the settings back there. Using LD101 to
set color, brightness, tint, contrast and detail properly
was enough to render a tremendous improvement in picture quality. The booklet
that comes with the disk is very informative as to what patterns are used
to make what adjustment as far as contrast, color, brightness, etc.
Others on the net who have done more extensive adjustments can comment further
as to the disks benefits in setting the more obscure adjustments, but in my
