  12. I just bought a Sony 696 hi-fi VCR and while looking at the remote I
  13. noticed that if you hold the remote so that its facing the VCR and the
  14. jog wheel is towards you, and then you look at the base of the remote
  15. (ie: you are looking at the part of the remote exactly on the other
  16. end of the I/R transmitter) that there seems to be some sort of 
  17. electrical contact. Is there anything that can be accessed through
  18. those two holes?
