- are you sure you're not just out of memory or something? it does have
- a finite limit, and you will reach that limit long before you program
- something into every key on all 8 devices.

- other than that, are you sure you aimed the source remote at the CP8
- correctly? sometimes it will say it has learned a sequence when it
- actually didn't receive it correctly, and it can be very picky about
- where the source remote is placed and aimed.

- it seems odd that it would learn some buttons and not others within the
- same remote. i have the Radio Shack equivalent and have never had a
- problem teaching it any of a good dozen or so different brands and
- models over the years, and never had it learn some keys but not others
- on the same remote.
