  10. We're planning to visit Amsterdam in the middle-late spring,
  11. with the possibility of continuing on to a week in London.
  12. If you can offer some advice or information on the following
  13. questions, I'd be very grateful.

  16. What type of weather should I expect in late April?

  18. How formal is the dress for restaurants, shopping, museums,
  19. larger hotels??

  21. Any info on cost comparisons? (versus US) - perhaps suggestions
  22. of excellent things to buy and where?...old books, lace, bulbs,
  23. anything...our interests are varied and we'll probably take a list 
  24. from friends and family.

  26. Other than Queen's Day, are there any "occasions" I should 
  27. plan to include in my trip?

  29. What is the current exchange rate US$->DGs??

  31. Can you recommend any good local or family restaurants?
  32. I prefer to eat where the local residents do. Will language
  33. be more of a problem? (I don't know the language at all, and chances are
  34. I won't be too much better by spring.)

  36. I'll be using public transportation: any suggestions?

  38. Can you recommend any must-sees? We are history fanatics and 
  39. gardeners. I have a strong interest in textiles.

  41. My Huguenot ancestors migrated through Amsterdam and Rotterdam
  42. on their way to England in the 16-1700s: are there any museums or
  43. societies which keep records of this time?

  49. We'll want to find less expensive and local places to eat (as above).
