- I agree it's too much. Pick three cities.

- Here I differ with the previous author. I like Milan quite a bit
- (but then again I was raised in Manhattan) and find it interesting,
- charming and sophisticated. The Brera and Poldi-Pozzoli (sp?)
- museums are great, the fashion boutiques are worth looking into,
- restaurants are very good, the Castello is interesting both
- as a building and a museum. Also, getting into La Scala is not
- that hard if:
-
- You find a nonsubscription night (fuori abbonamento) and are willing
- to pay the price (say $50/person), or
-
- You are willing to stand way upstairs (more like hang from a nice strap
- and lean over the edge) (very cheap, although I have not done this recently)
-
- Also, the museum at La Scala is good if you are even remotely interested
- in Opera.

- I found that other museums cost 5000 to 7000 lire which seemed
- pricey compared to US museums, but not unaffordable.
