- It's good question, dear Dan! It was very great problem for UEFA after
- the crash of USSR. But UEFA finded good solution: every player from ex-USSR
- may choose only one of ANY national teams of ANY ex-soviet republic. But after
- one game for one team he can't change it. For example, before his transfer
- to Benfica, Yuran played in Ukraine only. But he choosed himself national
- team of Russia. Alexei Michailitchenko fm Rangers choose Ukraine, Sergei
- Kanchelskis fm Manchester United choose Russia... etc.
