- Oh yeah, I think we are all aware, and I think we all ultimately figure that
- helmets will be required for skiing as well as visors, knee pads,
- shin protectors, shoulder pads, Kevlar(tm) vests,
- "phased-plasma rifles in da 40 vatt range (said in best Arnie voice),"
- and have a litigation lawyer in tow. I think it's more historical
- and economics myself. You can convince numerous beginners that a speed
- skier's helmet is the coolest thing to wear for the cost.
- Car drivers, pilots, and others did wear helmets at the start of
- those activities, and only wear them to varying degrees these days.
