  16.     please don't ski without ski brakes. A released ski racing down the 
  17.     hill is dangerous to others.
  18.     Before they invented the brakes, we used to have ski straps. You
  19.     strap it to your leg and it is attached to the rear binding.
  20.     You could buy a makeshift strap cheap at camping stores while
  21.     waiting for the parts.
