- Subject: First hand Whistler report..Yee Haa!
-
- After much lamenting we decided to go to Whistler/Blackcomb. The day
- before we got there there was 2ft+ of snow. Second day 10cm. Third day 12 cm.
- fourth day 4 cm. fifth day we almost couldn't leave because it was snowing
- so much. They were expecting more than 20 cm today. All of the blue runs were
- excellent on thursday, the black runs on Blackcomb were acceptable. The Blue
- runs on Whistler were great but the black runs had little trees sticking up
- all over the place. Saudan Couloir was open friday but was glaze. On saturday
- the hill started showing ice between moguls and on the central runs. It looks
- like with 2-3 ft more snow it should be up to excellent conditions. If anybody
- wants more specifics give me a beep.
