- I can't imagine an ACL healing itself, was it fully torn??
-
- I was told if I continued an aggressive lifesytle the odds were high that due
- to the lack of stability in the knee, long term cartilage damage was highly
- likely.
-
-
- I had mine replaced with the patellar ligament, I'm back to a full 100%
- lifestyle (skiing chutes, windsurfing etc..) My brother had his ACL replaced with
- a Kevlar strap, he is only back 40%. Our Therapies were totally different also,
- mine was very aggressive PT, his was none for 2 months, then gradually building
- up. I saw the 49ers team surgeon he saw the Red Sox Surgeon.
-
- I would have surgery again in a minute, My brother would "go to my surgeon"
-
- Alot of articles are out there, check your library (Powder) and doctors
- references and best of luck!
