- Any opinions on the ski schols at Alta and
- Snowbird? A friend of mine will be taking his
- first lesson at one of the two. Incidentally,
- this is his first time skiing. How are the
- prices, crowds, quality of the lesson etc. for
- each hill.
-
- I like Alta's low-key attitude but I want to make
- sure he gets a good lesson for the money.

- I would recommend Alta. The competency of the
- instructors is high, and the pricing of their lessons
- is very competative. Scott Mathers is the Technical
- Director there, and is doing a great job keeping the
- school "current". Scott is a member of the Professional
- Ski Instructors of America national Demonstration Team.
-
- They have some good, friendly terrain for beginners, and
- the school does a good job of keeping class sizes small
- and matching ability levels within the classes so clients
- feel comfortable and can progress quickly.
-
- And yes, I'm heavily biased.
