- Wow, are you ever asking for trouble! Wooden rails
- have been tried (yes, even for monorails), but the
- warpage and resultant maintenance expenses seem to
- have doomed these projects. Two examples: Cienega
- Lime and Marble Co., San Benito County, California
- (ca 1890) and the Epsom Salts Monorail, Trona,
- California (ca 1920s). Both suffered badly from
- track maintenance problems. Good luck.
