- I believe that Baldwin was the last hold-out for standard
- MU connections. One reason Baldwin road switchers were
- scrapped out sooner than Alcos on most major U.S. lines
- was that they had air-operated MU controls. Alco and
- EMD were pretty much providing standard MU controls from
- the mid-1950s on, except for some yard switchers. Maybe
- someone who is more in the know can explain the various
- pin configurations.
