  14. As I plan to get a scanner soon, I wonder if someone could forward me
  15. an informative posting (posted last year I think) which compared the
  16. relative merits of different scanners and the appropriate frequencies
  17. for listening.

  19. My interest has been sparked by my move last year to our new apartment
  20. in Edison NJ. We live practically on (my doorstep is 20 feet from the
  21. tracks) a moderately used branch from the NEC (the Bonhamtown branch).
  22. We get atleast two Conrail freights a day.  The NEC itself is only a
  23. mile away. So there promises to be much to listen to.
