  23. Last time around, Guilford took money from Ford to improve Hoosac clearances,
  24. actually started work, and then punted and routed the traffic over CR to
  25. Worcester.  This time, returning to the precedent set when Hoosac was first
  26. built (prior to 1877), the Commonwealth of Mass. is proposed as the source
  27. of the money.  Presumably they'll write actual completion into the contract.

  29. CPR ownership of D&H has definitely improved the prospects for the old B&M
  30. route through Fitchburg, Greenfield and North Adams, but I don't know the
  31. traffic density.
